Wedding Videographer Bath - Andrew Collin Films

I’m a Bath wedding videographer living here with my husband. After an absence of more than ten years, in 2021 we made this beautiful city our home again after getting married ourselves at the Assembly Rooms in 2018. Since starting the business after filming a friend’s wedding in 2009, I’ve filmed over two hundred events and it’s my pleasure to now film weddings in Bath, the neighbouring areas and beyond.

Andrew Collin Films is a recommended supplier at Bath’s Historic Venues which manages weddings at The Assembly Rooms, Pump Rooms, The Roman Baths and the Victoria Art Gallery.

Thank you so much for the wedding videos, they are fantastic and we have watched them so many times already, you did such a good job! Thank you for being such a fantastic videographer. You have been brilliant throughout the whole planning of our wedding and we loved our Skype chats. Thanks again for everything and for being such fun on the day.

Why should I get married in Bath?

Since first arriving here in the late 90s, I’ve always admired the city’s stately Georgian architecture, it’s compact and easily navigated city centre and range of independent shops and restaurants. Based on my own first hand experience, here are my top five reasons, why you should consider hosting your wedding in Bath, whether you live in the area or arriving from elsewhere.

  1. If you’re looking for a historic venue with a sense of grandeur, look no further than The Assembly Rooms, Guildhall or The Pump Rooms in the city centre. These locations have hosted the finest events for centuries and feature exquisite interiors and showpiece chandeliers. With an understated opulence, there is less need to style the space with your own decor saving you time and expense. These exquisite settings will look absolutely perfect in your own Bath wedding video.

  2. On the other hand, you might be looking for a one-of-a-kind location for a small, intimate celebration. The flickering torches and rising steam from The Roman Baths offer an unrivalled romantic ambience not available anywhere else. Ceremonies take place at sunrise or sunset with a reception usually in the adjacent Pump Rooms or a local restaurant depending on numbers. Equally, The Temple of Minerva is hidden in the Botanical Gardens. This tranquil and hidden venue can host up to 35 guests. For weddings at these locations, I can quote for a mini Bath wedding film that will capture the moment!

  3. Situated on the edge of the Cotswolds, Bath is surrounded by the most spectacular landscape. Local venues such as Court Farm and Wick Farm offer unrivalled views and hospitality in a country setting. Equally, venues such as Priston Mill and Bailbrook lodge are popular choices for couples looking to host their wedding in Bath.

  4. Whatever the size or location of your celebration, Bath is a popular tourist destination so there is no shortage of accommodation to host your family and friends who will surely want to explore the area whilst visiting. From the larger hotel brands to more boutique options, everything is available. For the most authentic experience, I would investigate the many short term rental options on Airbnb. For brides and grooms getting ready on the morning of the wedding, a classic Georgian townhouse could offer you much more space and style than a luxury hotel for a similar price -the perfect setting for your Bath wedding video without a swirly carpet pattern in sight!

  5. Weddings are no longer ‘single day’ events. With family and friends more spread out geographically, weddings offer the best opportunity to catch up and a few hours at a reception just isn’t enough. Being a compact city where every iconic landmark is within a walkable distance and the aforementioned accommodation and venue options, Bath is the perfect city for a two or three-day event. Perhaps a family welcome meal the night before at a local restaurant or a casual ‘afterparty’ in a pub or function room, the city has much to offer.
